Allons-y en Provence!

When we decided to have a destination wedding, we fell in love with the idea of a summer wedding in a place combining our shared love of coastal cuisine, delicious wine, and stunning scenery. We can’t wait to share the beauty of Provence with all of our favorite people!

How to get there

As you start to make your travel arrangements, please make sure your passport is up to date. Its date of expiry must be at least 6 months beyond your travel dates.

If you intend on renting a car while in France, you can register for an International Driving Permit here.

  • This is our preferred method of travel to the region. Gare d'Avignon TGV is about 20 minutes from the venue.

    • If you're coming from Paris, we'd highly recommend taking the high speed train down (more info here). It's about 2.5 hours from the city center, or 3 hours directly from Charles de Gaulle Airport.

    • If you're coming from elsewhere in France, you may also take a train to Gare d'Avignon Centre, also 20 minutes from the venue.

    • Direct trains from London, Geneva, Barcelona and Brussels also available.

Car rentals (Avis, Europcar, Hertz, Enterprise/National, Sixt), Ubers, or taxis are also available from both train stations.

*Summer train tickets are now available to book.

  • The closest international airport is Marseille Airport. Getting from Marseille Airport to Avignon is about an hour via train to Gare d'Avignon Centre or an hour via car directly to the venue.

For more flight options, we’d recommend flying in through Paris Charles-de-Gaulle Airport and then taking the train from there.

For airfare into Europe from the US and back, it’s recommended to book roundtrip tickets rather than book separate one-way routes.

  • Car rental services (Avis, Europcar, Hertz, Enterprise/National, Sixt) are available at Gare d'Avignon TGV.

Exit on Northbound Highway A7 Avignon or Southbound Highway A7 Orange.

    GPS coordinates: 44°01’27’’N ; 04°54’23’’E

Accommodations

There are many hotels and bed and breakfasts in the surrounding area but we’ve narrowed down a few options for you below that should meet different travel needs and preferences. Shuttles will run to and from the locations below for the Wedding Day and Welcome Fête (please note that shuttles will not be available on Thursday for Brunch). You can book a room directly through the links provided below. All options have also been added to our recommendations map here.

If you choose to stay in an Airbnb (we’ve curated a list here!) or another property not listed here, please note that you will be responsible for securing transportation to and from the venue. When we visited Avignon last year, we found that taxis and Ubers are generally available in the area but sometimes can take a little more time arriving to pick you up than you’re used to in major cities, so please budget a little extra time.

Hotel room with large bed, white linens, and two green pillows. Red curtains and orange wall accents. Large windows with sunlight and city view.
